I was a revolutionary

I was a revolutionary, in my last life
my country was my mother and freedom was my wife

I used to break laws, to make them right
and sometimes i just marched, not picking up fights
I had a handlebar moustache, weight in tonnes
even the tyrant addressed me, as the free one

I saw my people being treaded upon, saw them dying of hunger ,
When they said they are powerless, i called for their honor
and i asked them if, you think the queen is powerful, lets change that
and then i stole even, from the royal treasure

I was kept behind bars, i was held in chains
I took all the blows, till they broke their canes
And then when i hit, I shot them in the head
I shot them while walking, I shot them even in the bed

I killed more enemies than i made friends
I hope i was right and no one asks for amends
And just before i finally closed my eyes,
Freedom came to pick me, slavery bid me bye

Tell them this, that in the days to come
dont sing songs for me, nor write poems
But if freedom is threatened, raise your voice and raise it again
isnt it the thunders, that set the tone for the rain

You will be killed or at worst you will die
But you will be always be a revolutionary , in your last life.
